Conor McGregor & Colby Covington Rip Kelvin Gastelum During UFC 234
Kelvin Gastelum was supposed to challenge Robert Whittaker for the UFC Middleweight Title in the main event of UFC 234, but Whittaker pulled out of the fight after needing emergency surgery.
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN would take to Twitter during the event to note that Gastelum was suffering from staph infection complications in the days leading into UFC 234:
Kelvin Gastelum told reporters in the scrum tonight that he did have some staph infection complications this week, but it wasn’t going to keep him from fighting.

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor would take to Twitter to rip Gastelum for potential fighting with staph infection complications and for carrying around a belt during the UFC 234 event:
Why is that worm holding the 185lb belt? There are worms crawling on his skin! It was absolutely ludicrous to even consider allowing him to compete. Let alone now walk around the arena shaking our fans hands.
Someone sort this, this instant. And sterilize that belt.

Colby Covington, never one to shy away from sharing his opinion, would also take a shot at Gastelum via Twitter:
.@KelvinGastelum what’s with that freak on your cheek Kevin?! Take a shower you filthy animal! #OnAMission4MRSA — #ufc234 pic.twitter.com/7p7Vwad2uA

There is no response yet from Gastelum as to what what said by McGregor and Covington.
