Combat Night & ATT Deny Any Affiliation With Package Bomb Suspect

Cesar Savoy was arrested this past Friday by the FBI in Plantation, Florida in connection with some packages that contained bombs and were sent to critics of President Donald Trump.

Images of the van that was retrieved by the FBI should stickers from both American Top Team (ATT) and MMA promotion Combat Nights.

Both ATT and Combat Night have denied any affiliation with Savoy, with Combat Night issuing the following statement to MMA Fighting:

“Combat Night is not in any way affiliated with the individual arrested today in connection with this week’s terrorist acts. Combat Night absolutely disavows any political violence or threats of violence. We are an apolitical organization that supports MMA athletes and our local communities. We are relieved and pleased to hear that our remarkable law enforcement agencies were able to quickly apprehend the suspect without further incident. We have held over 100 events across the state of Florida so we have a ton of fans. It is unfortunate that one of our fans is affiliated with this but they are in no way associated with Combat Night and he has never fought or worked for us.”

Ariel Helwani of ESPN also talked with ATT representatives and got the following statement from ATT owner Dan Lambert:

“Nobody knows him. I called around. Not in the membership database either.”

If Savoy is convicted of the crimes levied against him, it could see the package bombing suspect face up to 58 years in prison.
