Exclusive: Colby Covington Blasts Dana White, Says Nick Diaz Only Interested In Beating Up Women
UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington isn’t a happy person at the moment, especially after it was announced that UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley would be defending the gold against Kamaru Usman at UFC 235.
Another big news story was that the UFC recently moved UFC 232 from Las Vegas, Nevada to Inglewood, California and Covington feels bad for the fighters involved in that fiasco.
“Oh my God, what a circus man. Dude it was handled so poorly, I mean…think about all the fighters. They were fighting in a non-taxing state of Vegas (Nevada) and then they had to go to California, fighting at a taxing…a high taxing state. They lost out on all that money, but then there’s Dana White saying ‘who’s gonna pay my taxes?’ Dude, you just make over $300 million in the UFC sale, you’re a joke. Dana White…you’re a f*cking joke, no one gives a f*ck about you…you bald headed little prick,” says Covington in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
The main reason that the UFC 232 card was relocated was that the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) found an abnormality in Jon Jones’ drug test.
Covington was also rumored to be fighting Nick Diaz at one point last year at UFC 230, but says Diaz is only interested in beating up women.
“Yeah, he didn’t want to fight man. He’s been coming out, testing the waters. Trying to put some feelers out there and see if he would get any traction…getting any bites. But at the end of the day dude, Nick Diaz…he’s done…his career is done. He doesn’t want to fight, he’s too busy beating up women. He can’t beat up any men, all he can do is beat up women. He’s in the clubs every night partying, I heard the last time he trained was a couple of years ago. He hasn’t won a fight in six or seven years, so he’s not really even relevant anymore. He’s just still trying to get fans and stay in the media and keep his name hot so he can do his little weed business and do good business there, I don’t blame him,” says Covington.
Diaz had been accused of domestic violence last year, but those charges were eventually dropped after the Clark County (Nevada) DA decided not to pursue the charges any further.
