Colby Covington Attends U.S. Presidential Debate, Gerald Meerschaert Roasts The Event
Two UFC fighters in Colby Covington took part in the first presidential debate between U.S. President Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Covington, an ardent supporter of President Trump, attended the event as a special guest of the President. Covington has appeared in the past at rallies supporting Trump and has even visited the White House alongside UFC President Dana White. Meerschaert, who wasn’t in attendance at the debate, would roast the proceedings on Twitter.
I wish this debate lasted as long as my last fight. #Debate2020

What Meerschaert is referencing about his “last fight” was the 17-second knockout loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC Vegas 11. The presidential debate, which lasted longer than 17 seconds, was attended by other members of the Trump family but no other UFC stars.
