Coach Says Sergio Pettis Is Returning To Bantamweight
Sergio Pettis was last seen in action at UFC 229, suffering a decision loss to Jussier Formiga on the featured preliminary card fight for the event.
It would appear that Pettis’ flyweight division swan song took place at UFC 229, at least if coach Duke Roufus is to be believed.
Roufus went on Instagram to say that Pettis going moving back up a weight class to bantamweight:
Pettis won five of eight while competing in the UFC Bantamweight Division, with those wins coming over Chris Cariaso, Chris Kelades, John Moraga, Brandon Moreno and Joseph Benavidez.
Although Pettis is now returning to the bantamweight division, no word has been given yet as to exactly when that divisional return will happen.
