Coach Kavanagh Claims Conor McGregor Not Dwelling On Boxing Defeat

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor suffered a tenth round TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather this past August in his professional boxing debut.

John Kavanagh is the longtime coach of the Irish MMA superstar and he claims that McGregor isn’t dwelling on the boxing defeat like when he was submitted by Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

"I think it’s different," Kavanagh told Express Sport. "After the Nate loss, it was an obsession. I don’t see that same level of interest in the Mayweather rematch. Not that he would turn it down if it was offered. But certainly not in the same way that he was for the Diaz fight."

McGregor seems to be making a return to MMA in the future, which is something the fighter himself hinted at in a recent interview with TMZ.

In fact, it was the lightweight champion who recently posted the following on Instagram, showing him back in the gym training:

While McGregor is training again, no word has been given yet as to when he could return or whom the possible opponent could be.
