Dulce García’s MMA record has its first blemish.
The former Lucha Libre AAA World Wide and Lucha Underground wrestler (known as Sexy Star) faced off against Claudia Diaz in a 118-pound bout at the Combate Global: Combate Latina event on Friday, April 30, 2021. Diaz is lauded as a Muay Thai expert who was still in search of her first professional MMA victory.
García came into the fight with two wins and no losses to her name and was considered the favorite against the 26-year old Spaniard, who just started training for MMA three years ago.
In convincing fashion, Diaz earned the win via TKO in the second round. A clip of the stoppage can be seen below.

Wrestling fans will remember Sexy Star for her actions at TripleMania XXV, where she purposely popped Rosemary’s arm out of its joint. In the wake of the incident, wrestlers such as Chris Jericho, Brian “Road Dogg” James and Cody came out and said that Sexy Star would not be allowed to compete where they work. Since defending the Reina de Reinas Title on August 26, 2017, García has not worked for AAA. The title was vacated on September 4th and remained unoccupied for just under a month until Lady Shani won it at the start of October.
Prior to her involvement with Combate, García amassed a 5-0 record as a boxer. She also continues to wrestle but hasn’t performed since July of 2020.
