Charles Oliveira Faces David Teymur At UFC Fight Night Fortaleza

A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Fortaleza according to the UFC Brasil Twitter page as Charles Oliveira is in action against David Teymur.

Oliveira (25-8-0-1NC) enters the contest in the midst of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Clay Guida, Christos Giagos and Jim Miller. Oliveira has fought thirty four times as a professional MMA fighter and only three of those encounters went the distance. Oliveira holds the record for most submission wins in the UFC, having picked up a total of twelve wins by form of tap out.

Teymur (8-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, last defeating Nik Lentz by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Utica. Teymur has picked up his last three wins by way of decision and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish. Teymur competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the quarterfinals of the reality show before losing to Marcin Wrzosek.

UFC Fight Night Fortaleza takes place on Saturday, February 2 from the Olympic Training Center in Fortaleza, Brazil with Raphael Assuncao and Marlon Moraes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
