Chad Laprise Stepping In At UFC 213

Brian Camozzi was left without an opponent at UFC 213 after Alan Jouban pulled out of the fight with a foot injury, but now Chad Laprise has agreed to step in on short notice to replace Jouban.

Camozzi (7-3-0) is currently winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a fight to Randy Brown at UFC Fight Night 102. Brian Camozzi is also the brother of fellow UFC fighter Chris Camozzi, who last competed at UFC Fight Night 109. Camozzi also fought three times in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, defeating the trio of Tyler Milner, Kenneth Glenn and Nick Barnes.

Laprise (11-2-0) has already earned four victories under the UFC banner, defeating Thibault Gouti, Bryan Barberena, Yosdenis Cedeno and Olivier Aubin-Mercier. Laprise aldo went undefeated during his time in Bellator MMA, earning victories over the duo of Josh Taveirne and Ainsley Robinson. Laprise is actually undefeated on UFC pay-per-view cards, as his win over Bryan Barberena came at UFC 186 in April of 2015.

UFC 213 takes place on Saturday, July 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow the event.
