CB Dollaway Open To Rematch With Hector Lombard

CB Dollaway earned a controversial disqualification win over former Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard on the preliminary card of UFC 222.

Despite the post-fight accusations made by Lombard, a recovering Dollaway wouldn’t mind a rematch with him.

“As far as what the future holds for me and Hector [Lombard], I’m going to see what the UFC wants to do. I’ve heard mention they might be getting rid of him, they might keep him. So whatever they decide, ultimately they’re the ones that make the decisions but if they want to run it back then we’re open to it,” Dollaway said to BJPenn.com.

Lombard claimed after the encounter that Dollaway, who had to be stretchered out of the arena, wasn’t as injured as he claimed to be and didn’t want to compete anymore.

Dollaway also believes that Lombard is a dirty fight and what happened at UFC 222 was far from an accident.

“Heard through the grapevine (about what Lombard said), a lot of people say he’s a dirty fighter. I don’t think it was accidental, I think that’s just kind of who he is,” says Dollaway.

While the loss served as the first DQ defeat for Lombard, it was also the first time that Dollaway earned a win by disqualification.
