Carlos Condit Faces Matt Brown This April At UFC Glendale
A welterweight division affair is coming our way as #12 Carlos Condit faces Matt Brown in Glendale on April 14.
Condit (30-11-0) enters the contest while riding a three fight losing streak and the fighter hasn’t earned a victory in almost three years. Condit is a former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion, defeating Nick Diaz by decision to win the gold at UFC 143. Condit has only won two of his last eight in UFC competition, with those two wins coming over Martin Kampmann and Thiago Alves.
Brown (21-16-0) was set to retire after defeating UFC Ultimate Fighter 1 champion Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night Norfolk, but has obviously changed his mind now. Brown has won just two of his last seven under the UFC banner, defeating the aforementioned Diego Sanchez and Tim Means. Brown also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 7, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to eventual winner Amir Sadollah.
UFC Glendale takes place on Saturday, April 14 from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizone. The show will air on Fox Sports 1 and also features Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje on the main card.
