Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is still king.
Alvarez (54-1-2) was far too much for his challenger Avni Yildirim (21-3) to handle. Alvarez was able to retain his WBC Middleweight Title and WBA World Super Middleweight title with a third round TKO of his opponent. Alvarez’s opponent gave up after the third round, securing the finish of the fight.

Alvarez is now unbeaten in the 14 fights since his lone loss to Floyd Mayweather way back in 2013. Avni Yildirim was coming off of a loss, and a two-year layoff, and hasn’t won a fight since September 2018.
Elsewhere on the show, former UFC Flyweight title contender John Moraga was soundly beaten by Marc Castro, and was actually dropped just seconds into the fight.
