Bruce Buffer Disgusted By Conor McGregor Bus Attack
Former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor recently attacked a bus full of fighters days before UFC 223, allegedly trying to get at UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Bruce Buffer is the ring announcer for the UFC and he found the whole situation to be nothing short of disgusting.
“As a whole, everyone has their own personal reaction, but I think it’s total disgust,” said Buffer to TMZ Sports. "I don’t care who they are. Anybody that justifies that has a problem. I could say something else right now, and I want to say it, but I’m telling you right now: They have a problem. I’m being very polite.”
McGregor did turn himself into authorities a short time after the attack, but has since been released on $50,000 bail and the former champion is already back in Ireland.
The UFC has yet to formally punish the Irishman and Buffer wants to see how the whole scenario plays out in the long run.
“We’ll see how it all pans out,” Buffer said. “There’s no excuse for it. It’s an insult. It’s disgusting. I mean, that’s not what we’re about. … This is something that occurred with one individual. It’s separate from who we are.”
Buffer is going to be back in the Octagon this weekend at UFC on Fox 29, which has Dustin Poirier facing Justin Gaethje in the main event.
