Brad Pickett Once KO’d A 280-Pound Man Outside Of A Fugees Concert
Brad Pickett fought as low as flyweight during his professional career which makes it all the more amazing that he once knocked out a super heavyweight.
Pickett, who holds a win over Demetrious Johnson, caught up with Fightful and detailed his encounter with a brute outside a concert. Spoiler alert: the conflict did not go well for Goliath.
“I went to a Fugees concert,” Pickett recalled. “It was okay. I was getting a bit tired, a bit bored. I was on my way home. I was driving my car and I took a right-hand turn and there’s this big Turkish-looking guy. Massive. Probably 280-pounds. Big. Walking hard, looking like he was going to walk into the road. I was worried that he might walk in front of the car and I hit him. So I slowed down as I was turning. It’s a road. I have the right of way, you’re a pedestrian. You shouldn’t be walking. Anyway, because I slowed down he just punched the back of my car really hard. I was really in a bit of a bad mood anyway. I pulled over and by the time I pulled over, the other guy had crossed the road. I got out of the car and there were two people who witnessed it.”
“I turned over and said to him, ‘What the fuck are you doing?’ He stopped, stormed back over, crossed the road and came right up into my face and goes, ‘What the fuck?!’ To be honest, I was probably a bit intimidated so I just hit him straight away. I’m like, ‘Oh shit!’ He’s out. That was it. I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ He got right in my face so I leaned back and clipped him and he went down,” he continued. “The worst thing was there was this 280-pound dead weight and I couldn’t move it. I was trying to get him off to the pavement. I couldn’t move him for the life of me. It was the middle of the night. I’m thinking, ‘What am I going to do?’ So I just said, ‘Fuck it. I just gotta go.’ So I got back in my car and started driving. I pulled up to the witnesses and rolled down my window and said, ‘Really sorry about that. He just kind of pissed me off.’ And they said, ‘Don’t worry about it, he was a prick.’ I’m like,’ Thanks.’ They justified my actions, cool. I felt like I could drive off… That was the last time I [got into a fight] and it was years ago to be fair.”
