Bout Rescheduled For UFC Fight Night Shanghai
A featherweight division fight has been re-booked for the upcoming UFC Fight Night Shanghai card as Alex Caceres is in action against Wang Guan.
The Fight Nation first reported the bout rescheduling.
These two were first set to clash at UFC Fight Night Singapore, but Guan pulled out of the fight due to an injury.
Caceres (13-10-0-1NC) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that last victory coming over Rolando Dy at UFC Fight Night Singapore. Caceres also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 12, losing to Michael Johnson in the quarterfinals of the reality show. Caceres has competed as both a bantamweight and as a featherweight in the UFC, earning a total of eight wins in the promotion.
Guan (16-1-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and eh does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Guan has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that loss came to Bekbulat Magomedov at Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation 11 in 2013. Guan is also returning to action for the first time in almost a year, with his last bout being a win over Bakhitbek Khojaev in December of 2016.
UFC Fight Night Shanghai takes place on Saturday, November 25 from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China with Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
