Bout Pulled From UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh
This weekend’s UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh card took a hit earlier this week when Thiago Alves was pulled from the card, being replaced by Alex Reyes.
The Saturday Night card has taken another hit as Felipe Arantes has fallen ill and his bout against Luke Sanders has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh.
UFC officials felt there wasn’t enough time to find a suitable replacement for Sanders to fight, which is why he was pulled from the card as well.
Arantes and Sanders were set to compete on the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card.
A lightweight division bout between Gilbert Burns and Jason Saggo has been moved from the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card to the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card.
With the Saggo/Burns fight being moved, that means there is going to be no preliminary card fights streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.
With all the late changes and such to the card, the event will now go on with a total of 10 bouts.
UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Luke Rockhold and David Branch headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
