Bout Pulled From UFC Fight Night 109
This months UFC Fight Night 109 card will go on with one less bout as a heavyweight division attraction between Christian Colombo and Damian Grabowski has been pulled from the card.
Both Colombo and Grabowski suffered injuries in the fight, so the UFC had no option but to pull both fighters from the card, instead of hunting for a replacement fighter.
The fighters would have been gunning for their first win under the UFC banner, as they were a combined 0-3-1 thus far in UFC competition. The now canceled fight was set for the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card, which will go on with just two fights.
Also, the UFC Fight Night 109 card is now going to go on with a total of twelve bouts, instead of the originally scheduled thirteen.
There was supposed to be another fight pulled from the card, but Nordine Taleb is now fighting replacement fighter Oliver Enkamp on the card, the Swedish fighter in Enkamp is replacing an injured Emil Meek.
UFC Fight Night 109 takes place on Sunday, May 28 from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden with Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
