Bellator MMA Signs Leonardo Leite
Undefeated prospect Leonardo Leite, who holds a record of 10-0-0, has signed a multi-fight contract with Bellator MMA.
Leite is a former two division champion in the Legacy Fighting Championships, because he held the promotion’s heavyweight and light heavyweight titles.
The fighter defeated Myron Dennis by fourth round TKO to win the heavyweight title at LFC 35 and then he defeated Ryan Spann to win the light heavyweight title at LFC 48.
When Leite eventually does make his promotion debut, it would be his first fight in over a year, with his last bout taking place at a Fight 2 Night event in November 2016.
Outside of his appearances in the Legacy Fighting Championships, the newly signed fighter has also spent considerable time competing in his home country of Brazil. Leite has also competed twice in the Bitetti Combat promotion, where he earned wins over the duo of Diosman Nery De Jesus and Fabio Marongiu.
There is no word yet on which division Leite plans to compete at in Bellator MMA, with his previous fights being a mix of heavyweight and light heavyweights duels.
Bellator MMA has yet to announce a debut date or an opponent for Leite, it is unknown when those announcements will come.
