Bellator MMA Signs Leandro Higo
Bellator MMA has added a new bantamweight to the roster as the Viacom owned promotion has signed current Legacy Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion Leandro Higo to the roster.
Higo currently possesses a record of 17-2-0 as a professional MMA fighter and he signs with Bellator MMA while in the midst of an eight fight winning streak. That aforementioned winning streak is the longest such streak that Higo has had in his ten year MMA career.
During that 10 year MMA career, Higo has earned victories over top names like Jose Maria Tome, Terrion Ware, Melvin Blumer and Steven Peterson. The Brazilian also held the Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Title, he held the belt until the promotion merged with the Legacy Fighting Championships.
Leandro was also a cast member of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4, he made it to the quarterfinals, where he suffered a defeat to Bruno Rodrigues Mesquita. The bantamweight fighter spent the majority of his career competing in his native Brazil, fighting in such promotions as Jungle Fight and Nordeste Fight Vale Tudo.
There is no word yet on who Higo will be fighting in his Bellator MMA debut or exactly when he will be making that promotional debut.
