Bellator MMA Announces $1 Million Bantamweight Grand Prix, Set To Begin In 2022, Eight Man Field Revealed
Bellator MMA’s latest Grand Prix has been announced.
During last night’s Bellator 272 broadcast, the Connecticut based promotion announced their plans for a Bantamweight Grand Prix which will begin in 2022.
The competitors for the tournament consist of 135-pound champion Sergio Pettis, the man Pettis successfully defended his title against during the main event of the aforementioned Bellator 272 event, Kyoji Horiguchi, former champion Juan Archuleta, James Gallagher, Leandro Higo, Magomed Magomedov, Patchy Mix and Raufeon Stots.

No set dates or matchups have been unveiled for the tournament but plans are set to begin matchups in early 2022, with the winner earning the Bellator Bantamweight Championship and a cool $1 million added to their bank account.
