Aaron Pico has his work cut out for him against Shane Kruchten in MMA during Bellator 192 this Saturday night, but that hasn't kept him from considering both boxing and pro wrestling.
Pico served as Miguel Cotto's training partner for his retirement fight last month against Sadam Ali. In an interview with Fightful.com's James Lynch, Pico talked about how he ended up working with the boxing great.
"When I got off of knee surgery, I wanted to start training at Wild Card. After my fight at Madison Square Garden, Freddie Roach asked me if I would help Cotto get ready for (Yoshihiro) Kamegai. Then he asked me if I'd help get him ready for his last fight. It was great work with Freddie. I'm constantly sparring the best boxers," said Pico.
The decorated amateur wrestler told us that he tapers off his high level boxing ahead of his MMA fights, but picks it back up after.
"I haven't given it much thought, but WWE, that'd be kind of cool. That'd be different. I'm always the one to try something different. If WWE ever came up to me, I'm sure I'd agree. I know some of the wrestlers. John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Big Show — I watched that one against Floyd Mayweather. I'm aware of it for sure. It's so big, you know some of the stars. I've never been to one live. I'd love to go. I think I'd like the crowd on my side, I like beating up all the bad people. You never know. Why not?," said Pico.
