Bellator 180 & UFC Fight Night: Oklahoma City Viewership Is In

If you checked out both Bellator 180 and UFC Fight Night: Oklahoma City this past weekend, then you are just one of the almost two million people who did.

Bellator 180 took place on Saturday, June 24 and aired live on Spike TV and CMT with Ryan Bader defeating Phil Davis in the main event to win the Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Title.

The show averaged a total of 901,000 viewers, which is the combined viewership between Spike TV and CMT. The most watched fight was the light heavyweight title main event, which peaked at a total of 1.1 million viewers.

Other bouts that aired live on Spike TV/CMT included James Gallagher versus Chinzo Machida and Heather Hardy versus Alice Yauger.

Sunday, June 25 was the date for the UFC Fight Night: Oklahoma City event and that was headlined by a lightweight division bout as Kevin Lee defeated Michael Chiesa.

There was a tie for the most watched fight on the card, as BJ Penn versus Dennis Siver and Kevin Lee versus Michael Chiesa peaked at 905,000 viewers. Overall, the show drew a total of 819,000 viewers, the main card aired live on Fox Sports 1. Other fights on the six fight main card included Tim Boetsch versus Johny Hendricks, Felice Herrig versus Justine Kish, Dominick Reyes versus Joachim Christensen and Tim Means versus Alex Garcia.

A total of 319,000 viewers tuned in for the four fight preliminary card that aired on Fox Sports 2, that portion of the card was headlined by Clay Guida battling Erik Koch.

UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale is the next event for the UFC on July 7, while Bellator 181 is the next event for Bellator MMA and that takes place on July 14.
