Belal Muhammad In At UFC 208
Following the withdraw of George Sullivan from UFC 208 after a potential failed drug test according to USADA, Belal Muhammad has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Randy Brown at UFC 208.
Brown (9-1-0) has won three of four fights under the UFC banner, defeating Matt Dwyer, Erick Montano and Brian Camozzi, while suffering a defeat to Michael Graves. Brown also competed six times in the Ring Of Combat promotion, where none of his fights in the promotion went past the second round. Brown will be competing on his first UFC pay-per-view card, as all of his previous fights in the promotion came at “Fight Night” events.
Muhammad (10-2-0) has won just one of three fights thus far in UFC competition, defeating Augusto Montano, while suffering defeats to Alan Jouban and Vincente Luque. Muhammad is a former Titan Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion, he defeated Steve Carl to win the belt at Titan FC 38. Muhammad also competed twice in Bellator MMA, where he earned a pair of victories over the duo of AJ Matthews and Quinton McCottrell.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie headlining.
