Bantamweight Title Fight Headlines Invicta FC 29

A bout for the vacant Invicta FC Bantamweight Title is going to be headlining the Invicta Fighting Championships 29 card this coming May as UFC veteran Sarah Kaufman faces Katharina Lehner.

Kaufman (19-4-0-1NC) is currently undefeated under the Invicta FC banner, defeating both Leslie Smith and Pannie Kianzad. Kaufman won just one of four fights during her UFC tenure, with that lone win coming over Leslie Smith at the UFC Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale. Kaufman is also a former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion, defeating Takayo Hashi at Strikeforce Challengers 6 in February of 2010.

Lehner (7-0-0) has already competed once in the Invicta FC promotion, defeating Alexa Conners by first round TKO at Invicta FC 25. Lehner has seen six of her seven professional MMA fights go the distance, with the bout at Invicta FC 25 being her lone finish as a pro. Lehner also competed in the We Love MMA promotion, defeating the duo of Anne Merkt and Camila Hinze.

Invicta Fighting Championships 29 takes place on Friday, May 4 from a location to be announced with Sarah Kaufman and Katharina Lehner headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
