Bantamweight Prospects Added To UFC 217

A bantamweight division clash is the latest addition to the UFC 217 card as the undefeated Aiemann Zahabi is in action against Ricardo Ramos.

The Montreal Gazette first reported the bout.

Zahabi (7-0-0) has already competed once under the UFC banner, which was a unanimous decision win over Reginaldo Vieira at UFC Fight Night 105. Zahabi is the younger brother of longtime trainer Firas Zahabi, who has led many fighters to championship gold in MMA. Zahabi has fought twice in the Hybrid Combat MMA promotion, defeating the duo of Wesley Bowman and Jeremy Dichiara.

Ramos (10-1-0) is currently undefeated in UFC competition as well, having defeated Michinori Tanaka by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 104. Ramos has also competed in the Legacy Fighting Championships, where he defeated the duo of Justin Radar and Cody Walker. Ramos also enters the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak and he has not suffered a defeat in over a year.

UFC 217 takes place on Saturday, November 4 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Michael Bisping and Georges St. Pierre headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
