Anderson Silva Will Not Commit To Retiring, Suggests Last UFC Fight

The story of Anderson Silva may continue beyond UFC Vegas 12.

Silva put in an able performance against Uriah Hall on Saturday. “The Spider” was ahead on many viewers’ scorecards across rounds one and two. He was also leading the dance in round three before being dropped. He was subsequently finished via strikes in round four.

Silva spoke with Michael Bisping in a post-fight interview. When asked about his retirement, Silva would not commit to ending his career. He suggested it was his final UFC fight and said he would talk to his team about what comes next.

“It’s tough to say if this is my last,” Silva told Bisping. “Because it is my air.”

UFC President Dana White told ESPN he thinks Silva should “hang it up” and said his next fight will definitely not be in the UFC.

Silva is now 1-7 with one no-contest dating back to 2013. His only win in that stretch is a unanimous decision against Derek Brunson. The losses come against Hall, Jared Cannonier, Israel Adesanya, Daniel Cormier, Michael Bisping and Chris Weidman (x2).
