Amanda Nunes & Nina Ansaroff Are Willing To Fight Each Other

Two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes and fellow UFC fighter Nina Ansaroff aren’t just competing in the same promotion, but are engaged to be married as well.

One would thing that a couple who are expecting to be married in the future wouldn’t want to do is fight each other in the Octagon, but that wouldn’t be the case for these two.

“100% we already talked about it,” Ansaroff said to TMZ Sports (via Derek Hall of Middle Easy). “After she gets the belt, I’m going to get my belt at fifteen. then were going to do a superfight at 125. we’re so down. we would really try to kill each other. there would be no faking about it. then afterwards it would be like‘that was awesome.’ The thing is, we’ve trained together so long, it comes to the point that we barely touch each other when we spar, because we know what each other’s going to do. So if it was going to go for real, I’m really going to try to take her head. it wouldn’t be like…we would really try to beat each other.”

Nunes currently holds gold at featherweight and bantamweight, but has not competed as a flyweight, while Anaroff has competed as a strawweight.

The two division champion even claims that her retirement fight would come against Ansaroff.

“Yeah definitely. My last fight is going to be against Nina, and then I’m going to retire,” says Nunes.

If the bout between the two engaged fighters does come together, it would definitely be one of the most historic fights in professional MMA history.
