Amanda Nunes Tests Positive For COVID-19, UFC 265 Title Defense Against Julianna Pena Scrapped
The co-main event of UFC 265 seems to be off, as UFC featherweight and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes tested positive based on reports from ESPN and MMA Junkie.

Nunes was expected to meet challenger Julianna Peña in the co-main event of UFC 265 underneath the interim heavyweight title fight between Cyril Gane and Derrick Lewis, but will now be rescheduled once Nunes has recovered.
MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn subsequently reported that in addition to Amanda Nunes, her wife Nina Nunes, and their infant daughter Reagan have also tested positive.

UFC 265 is currently scheduled for August 7th from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and one would assume the bantamweight bout between former champion José Aldo and Pedro Munhoz would slot into the co-main event.
