Ali Abdelaziz Says McGregor vs. Gaethje Not Happening, Gaethje May Be Thinking Otherwise
Rumors have started surfacing that former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor and former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje could be fighting this Summer.
One person who is quick to put that rumored bout to rest is Ali Abdelaziz, who is Gathje’s manager, as he stated that following on Twitter:
This rumor about @Justin_Gaethje fighting vs @TheNotoriousMMA is absolutely false. He had the opportunity to fight him already instead of cowboy but he didn’t. Justin is the number one contender and like khabib said. Conor needs to win 10 fights.

There is one person who would like to have the opportunity to face McGregor, no matter what his agent says, and that person is Gaethje, who stated the following on Twitter:
You kidding me. I would love to fight in the most hostile environment on earth. That would be scary but beyond an experience of a lifetime. Bring the heat. #ufc https://t.co/VhdG0inzJo

McGregor hasn’t won a bout at lightweight in over three years, with his last divisional victory coming over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November of 2016.
