Alexander Volkov Defeats Greg Hardy In UFC Moscow Co-Main Event
Greg Hardy faced the toughest test of his MMA career in Moscow on Saturday.
A fairly late replacement for Junior dos Santos, the controversial Hardy took on the task of Alexander Volkov in a co-main event fight of the UFC Moscow event.

Hardy ate several leg kicks to open up the bout, but checked his fair share as well, and didn’t get shut out by the much more experienced Volkov. Hardy occasionally found success with some single punches, but never put Volkov in danger. In between the first and second rounds, Hardy told his corner that his right hand was injured.

A clearly injured Hardy could never turn up the pace, or keep up to Volkov’s, and would lose all three rounds. The entire fight was contested on the feet, with Volkov throwing strikes at range. In the end, Vokov took home a 30-27 unanimous decision victory.
