Alex White Replaces An Injured Erik Koch At UFC Fight Night 103

Erik Koch has suffered an undisclosed injury and he has been pulled from a lightweight division fight against Tony Martin at UFC Fight Night 103. Koch will now be replaced by Alex White.

White (11-2-0) has won two of four fights thus far in the UFC, defeating Artem Lobov and Estevan Payan, while suffering defeats to Lucas Martins and Clay Collard. White was actually undefeated prior to signing with the UFC, that undefeated streak lasted nearly four years. White also held a championship as an amateur, as he was the Gateway Fight League Lightweight Title, he would turn pro after winning the belt.

Martin (10-3-0) has won two of five under the UFC banner so far, defeating Fabricio Camoes and Felipe Olivieri, while those three losses came to Rashid Magomedov, Beneil Dariush and Leonardo Santos. Much like White, Martin was undefeated prior to signing with the UFC, with his undefeated streak lasting just over two years. Also, prior to coming to the UFC in 2014, Martin defeated UFC veteran Phillipe Nover at a Dakota Fighting Championships event.

UFC Fight Night 103 takes place on Sunday, January 15 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with BJ Penn and Yair Rodriguez headlining.
