Alex Nicholson/Paulo Henrique Costa Added To UFC Fight Night 106
A middleweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night 106 card as Alex Nicholson will be seeing action against Paulo Henrique Costa.
Nicholson (7-3-0) has won just one of three fights under the UFC banner, defeating Devin Clark, while suffering a pair of defeats to the duo of Misha Cirkunov and Sam Alvey. Nicholson signed with the UFC in 2016 while on a five fight winning streak, which included a win over fellow UFC veteran Chase Sherman. Nicholson is also a veteran of Square Ring Promotions, where he won four of four fights in that promotion.
Costa (8-0-0) will be making his UFC debut in this fight and all eight of his professional MMA fights ended in the opening round. Costa spent his last three fights competing in the Jungle Fight promotion, where he defeated Bruno Assis, Eduardo Ramon and Adriano Silverio Balby De Araujo. Costa has been a professional MMA fighter since 2012, but he has never competed more than twice a year in any given year.
UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining.
