3 Fighters Popped For Marijuana Following UFC Fight Night 104
Niko Price, Curtis Blaydes and Abel Trujillo have a couple things in common. They all competed at UFC Fight Night 104 and they all failed post-fight drug tests for marijuana.
The Texas Department Of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) have fined all three fighters $1,000 and suspended them 90 days for the infraction.
Price and Blaydes both had their victories over Alex Morono and Adam Milstead overturned to a no contest. Trujillo suffered a defeat to James Vick that night, so nothing will be overturned or changed in relation to that fight.
There will also be no fines issued by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) because the three fighters were not above their illegal limit. The TLDR have not released how much marijuana each fighter had in their system when they were popped.
None of the fighters or the UFC have commented on the matter, all three fighters will be able to compete again on May 4th, because the suspensions handed down by the TLDR are retroactive to the date of the event and that was February 4th of 2017.
The three fighters have made some odd UFC history here as they are the largest group of fighters suspended for marijuana in a single UFC event.
