Cumulatively, WWE has over 40 billion views making it the 7th most subscribed channel in the world. To put these figures in practical terms, only 25 countries in the world have more than 55 million people. But why do many people visit WWE channels? It could be it’s unique combination of programs from SummerSlam to SmackDown.

2021 WWE SummerSlam is a match between John Cena and Roman Reigns
SummerSlam ranks among the top four events hosted by WWE. The other three events include Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and Survivor Series. However, this summer, WWE brings you the special edition of SummerSlam, which will be aired on the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This is the first time SummerSlam is hosted in a prestigious football stadium.
On top of that, this years’ SummerSlam has a wild combination of fighters, with John Cena fighting off current champion Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. This game will be aired live on August 21, 2021, from 7 pm. If you have other plans for that day, reserve some minutes for a show-off between Reigns and Cena or visit live casinos online that will be taking place the same day and time.
This fight comes after weeks of struggle for the current top dog, Roman Reins. According to CBS, Reigns has been having a troubled time protecting his protectorate. Though Reigns managed to fend off his competitors in previous fights, Cena could not keep quiet after he made a grand entry in Money in the Bank.
According to the news channel, Cena said that Reign is an overexposed and overhyped gimmick. I really don’t know what that means but, Roman Reigns got the message that the old dog is coming back to his cage. Cena also emphasized that it won’t be long before he snatches the glorified championship belt from Reigns.
Still on the two indomitable champions, a few days ago, Reigns refused to challenge John Cena by not signing a contract for a match between the two. However, Roman Reigns decided to fight Finn Balor, The Demon, by agreeing to sign a contract with him. But before he could finish signing the contract, Baron Corbin interrupted.
Cena snatched the rare opportunity when Roman Reigns was dealing with his adversary Corbin and signed the contract in his own name. According to WWE officials, this signature is enough to host a match between the two fighters. Who do you think will walk home with his tail tucked inside his legs or with a cloud of shame hanging over his shoulder?
Back in time
This 2021’s SummerSlam is from a history of successful fights which have been occurring for almost 30 years. The first SummerSlam was hosted on August 29, 1988, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Let us travel back in time and see how this event has been a stage for champions.
For quite some time, SummerSlam has hosted a number of champions. Among them is the mighty Undertaker, Triple H, and The Edge. But, this year, with Cena already tired of thrashing subordinate wrestlers, he is aiming for the belt itself. We are hoping for the best.
WWE Championship
This is also the most awaited game this summer. It comes after the recent return of Goldberg, and at 53 years old, he has not yet finished imprinting his name in the hearts of WWE lovers. So this August, he is coming to challenge the current champion, Bobby Lashley.
Other than the fierce battle slowly boiling between the two, this game is another historical landmark in WWE. According to WWE, this will be the second oldest game in WWE history, bearing in mind that the combined age of the two titans is 99 years, just two years younger than the oldest match.
At 54 years old, Goldberg has come a long way forging history using his name as the keyword. On the other hand, Bobby Lashley always takes his games seriously but will he submit to the aging legend?
WWE Raw Women’s Championship
This year, beautiful yet merciless queens are already planning for a dangerous showdown in the WWE Women’s Championship. I am talking about Nikki A.S.H. (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley.
Being the newly crowned queen, Nikki A.S.H will be having a troubled time beating Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley this August.
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships
Lastly, on our list, the race for Tag Team Championships is already tight. This SummerSlam presents to you a match between The Usos and The Mysterios. The Usos are the current WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship winners, having held the belt for less than a month. Will they hang on the rope or leave the Tag Team Championship for The Mysterios?
Other than the Tag Team Championship, WWE will be hosting a match between Edge and Seth Rollins. Both Edge and Seth Rollins are experienced fighters, so we are expecting a satisfactory dose of entertainment. Also, Drew McIntyre will be fighting with Jinder Mahal. If you were ever fascinated by Drew, perhaps you should watch this match.
WWE is a place for champions, and each summer, their ranks are shaken with fierce battles under SummerSlam. Stay tuned from August 20 to 23 for ultimate entertainment.
