WBSS: Baranchyk vs. Taylor/Inoue vs. Rodriguez Weigh-In Results

All four fighters competing in the World Boxing Super Series semifinals later today have successfully made weight.

That doesn’t mean that there was a lack of drama at the weigh-ins the day before. Josh Taylor, who is challenging for Ivan Baranchyk’s IBF junior welterweight title, came in a little more than one pound over  the limit on his first attempt. But after being given two hours to drop the excess weight, Taylor came in at the championship limit of 140 pounds. As for the rest of the fighters in tournament action, Baranchyk and unbeaten bantamweights Naoya Inoue and Emmanuel Rodriguez had no issues with their weigh-ins, coming in within a half-pound under their respective weight limit.

Below are the weigh-in results for the two World Boxing Super Series fights taking place at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland:

World Boxing Super Series Junior Welterweight Tournament Semifinals/IBF World Title (140-pound limit):

  • Ivan Baranchyk (IBF champion): 139.6 lbs
  • Josh Taylor: 140 lbs

World Boxing Super Series Bantamweight Tournament Semifinals/IBF and WBA “Regular” World Title (118-pound limit):

  • Naoya Inoue (WBA “Regular” champion): 117.7 lbs
  • Emmanuel Rodriguez (IBF champion): 117.7 lbs

The card will be streamed in the United States on DAZN starting at 2 p.m. ET. You can check out the weigh-ins in the video at the top of the page.
