The WBA is moving forward with four purse bids rescheduled for next weeks, potentially impacting numerous title fights.

The minimum purse bid and splits per weight class has also been announced: $200,000 for cruiserweight bout (55/45 split in favor of Shumenov), $150,000 for the lightweight bout (75/25 split in favor of Lomachenko), $120,000 for the super bantamweight bout (75/25 split in favor of Roman) and $600,000 for the heavyweight bout. Only the heavyweight bout has yet to have a purse split announced.

All of those fights had been previously ordered, but whether or not they take place is another question. Crolla is Lomachenko’s mandatory challenger but Lomachenko is awaiting the result of the February 2 fight between Richard Commey and Isa Chaniev for the vacant IBF title in the hopes of getting a unification bout done.

Roman and Akhmadaliev was also another fight ordered, but like with Lomachenko, Roman is targeting a unification bout against his fellow IBF champion next. TJ Doheny, the IBF super bantamweight titleholder, signed with Matchroom Boxing to fight on DAZN and promoter Eddie Hearn said he hopes to get the two world champion to unify next spring.

As for the heavyweight bout, Miller is currently deep in negotiations with WBA “Super” champion Anthony Joshua. Should that fight get made, the WBA would likely have to find someone else to fight Bryan for the interim title.
