Top Rank On ESPN+: Lopez vs. Nakatani Weigh-In Results
Teofimo Lopez is one of boxing’s biggest rising stars and is now one fight away from a world title opportunity.
Before a potential showdown with IBF lightweight champion Richard Commey, Lopez must get past Japanese veteran Masayoshi Nakatani in a 12-round title eliminator. That fight will headline the July 19 Top Rank on ESPN+ card from Oxon Hill, Maryland where the winner becomes the mandatory challenger to Commey’s title and beyond that, potential showdown with unified champion Vasiliy Lomachenko should he defeat Luke Campbell next.
As for the other fight on the main card, junior welterweight contenders Maxim Dadashev and Subriel Matias will face off in an IBF 140-pound title eliminator. The winner of that fight becomes the mandatory challenger to the title currently being held by Josh Taylor, who is set to face WBA champion Regis Prograis in the WBSS finals later this year. All four fighters were able to make weight and Fightful has you covered with the official weights of every fight on the card.
