Thomas Patrick Ward Signs Multi-Fight Promotional Deal With Salita Promotions

Salita Promotions has added another unbeaten, rising contender to its promotional ranks.

The company announced it has signed super bantamweight contender Thomas Patrick Ward to a multi-fight promotional deal. The news comes after Ward is looking to move one step closer to becoming a world title contender in a loaded 122-pound division.

Ward has won all 27 of his fights since making his pro debut back in 2012. After winning the British and IBF European super bantamweight titles, Ward made his U.S. debut back in February when he scored a dominant 10-round decision against Jesse Angel Hernandez to win the NABA-USA title. That fight was televised on Showtime on a ShoBox: The New Generation card that took place in Kansas. Since then, Ward has fought just once, which was an eight-round win over Brayan Mairena on an MTK Global card from July 20 in Essex, England.

“I’m very happy about this agreement. I believe I’m one of the best fighters out there and this will help me to prove it by fighting and beating the champions and top contenders,” Ward said in a press release.

The 25-year-old Ward is also managed by MTK Global which also houses many of the biggest boxing stars in the United Kingdom including Billy Joe Saunders and Tyson Fury. Ward is ranked No. 4 by the WBO and No. 14 by the IBF at super bantamweight.

Salita Promotions now has another rising contender and already has the likes of Claressa Shields, Otto Wallin, Jarrell Miller, Arnold Khegai, Nikolai Potapov and more on its roster.
