MTK Fight Night Events Coming Back, Card For 6/6 FightNight Live PPV Show | Fight-Size Boxing Update
Here’s your fight-size boxing update for June 1, 2020:
– MTK Global announced that, starting in July, MTK Fight Night events will return with one show per month and will be broadcast on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank. The initial events will be held behind closed doors under the British Boxing Board of Control’s jurisdiction.
– FIGHTNIGHT LIVE has a $5 PPV boxing card on June 6 from Mexico, headlined by former IBF junior middleweight titleholder Carlos Molina. Below are the five fights set for that card:
Carlos Molina vs. Michi Munoz
Alejandro Davila vs. Nestor Fernando Garcia
Denilson Jair Valtierra vs. Aurelio Hernandez
Elio German Rafael vs. Luis Acuna Rojas
Cristian Martin Medina Garcia vs TBA
– The British Boxing Board of Control has issued recommendation on return to training during the COVID-19 pandemic and can be seen at this link.
– A boxing card in Houston, Texas was planned for June 5 that the Texas Combative Sports said it was going to review and decide on whether or not it (and combat sports shows in early June) would allow it to move forward today. The card has been rescheduled for July 3.
