TELEVISED UNDERCARD:
Richard Commey vs. Alejandro Luna: IBF lightweight title eliminator: The fight was a slugfest from the start. Commey attacked Luna’s head while Luna tried to put pressure by landing numerous body shots. Commey was Luna’s toughest opponent to date, but Luna managed to stay busy and even won a couple of rounds from his body work. Commey was at his most vulnerable when his back was at the ropes, leaving Luna to land a lot of body punches. Commey took the fight in the middle of the ring where he got a clean knockdown in the sixth round. Luna managed to get right back up but he spit out his mouthpiece and lost a point. Commey went right on the attack, landing another flurry of strong right hands and knocks out Luna. Commey is now in the conversation for an IBF lightweight title fight against Robert Easter Jr.

Mario Barrios vs. Eudy Bernardo: Super lightweight bout: Barrios establishes a heavy right jab from the start and Bernardo was nothing more tha a moving target in the first round. Barrios missed a left hook in the second round but then connected with a mean right jab that knocked down Bernardo. Although Bernardo got back up, his legs were wobbly and never really recovered. The referee stopped the fight right then and there.

Brandon Figueroa vs. Giovanni Delgado: Super bantamweight bout: Figueroa was in control throughout most of the bout, throwing an extremely high number of punches. Delgado proved he has an incredible chin by not going down once in the fight, but he started with a only a few punches being thrown in the first couple of rounds. It wasn’t until the third round where Delgado managed to land a strong counter left hook in the third round, but he never truly hurt Figueroa. Delgado described his style as a brawler, but he looked more awkward than a brawler. There was no chance Delgado was winning this fight and the bout took far longer than it should have. Delgado’s corner was not overly concerned with their fighter’s safety, otherwise they would have stopped the fight far sooner.

MAIN CARD
Rances Barthelemy vs. Kiryl Relikh: Vacant WBA junior welterweight bout
Round 1: Relikh starts off the fight with a couple of left hands. Both boxers trade jabs as Relikh stays in the middle of the ring while Barthelemy skips around the ring. Barthelemy blocks a right hand by Relikh. Barthelemy connects with a stiff left jab. Relikh throws another right jab. Both Relikh and Barthelemy work the body with stiff hooks and uppercuts. The round end with Relikh landing a short left body jab.

Round 2: Relikh starts the round chasing Barthelemy doubling down with the left hook. Relikh lands a four-punch combination upstairs. Barthelemy lands a left jab, followed by a body shot thrown by Relikh. Barthelemy is still moving along the ropes until about midway through the round when he went to the center of the ring and then misses with a sweeping left hook. Relikh lands a hard right jab, which stunned Barthelemy for a brief moment. Barthelemy lands a stiff left hook upstairs.

Round 3: Relikh lands a hard right hand, but Barthelemy trips and goes down, but it’s not counted as a knockdown. Relikh gains momentum from this and connects on a few strong body shots. Barthelemy lands a 1-2 to Relikh. Relikh lands a right uppercut to Barthelemy’s ribs. Relikh throws a couple of left jabs. Relikh ends the round with a hard right hand to Barthelemy’s jaw.

Round 4: Relikh throws a few left jabs while Barthelemy plays defense. Relikh continues to stay busy by throwing punches. Relikh gets hit by a left hook near the beltline. Relikh throws a right hook to Barthelemy’s body. Relikh is starting to throw more left uppercuts to Barthelemy as the Cuban continues to play defense. Barthelemy blocks a three-punch combination thrown by Relikh. Barthelemy manages to land a counter left hand at the end of the round.

Barthelemy throws a three-punch combination with the last punch being a left hook that connects with Relikh’s jaw. Barthelemy starts a flurry of punches to Relikh’s body, but then misses with a wild uppercut. Barthelemy throws a beautiful 1-2 to the body, but he fails to follow up on it and goes back to defense. Relikh throws three straight left jabs and Barthelemy responds by connecting with a jab of his own. Barthelemy then lands another left jab. Relikh gets hit with a low blow and is shook up by the dirty punch. Both men trade jabs, but then Relikh follows up with a number of hard punches.

Barthelemy lands a counter left jab as he moves back to the ropes. Relikh throws another combination of punches. Relikh throws a series of uppercuts using both of his hands. Relikh misses with a sweeping right hook.

Round 10: The 10th round starts with Relikh landing more jabs as Barthelemy moves along the ropes once more. Barthelemy connects with a left uppercut to the body. The two boxers take the fight up close and each connect with short body hooks. Relikh lands a couple of power punches on Barthelemy’s jaw. Relikh lands a strong right hand to Barthelemy’s jaw. Barthelemy lands a hard body shot and Relikh appears to have been hurt from that punch.

Barthelemy lands a quick right jab, but it does no damage to Relikh.

Round 12: The final round starts with Barthelemy and Relikh throwing multiple punches at each other’s body. Soon after, Barthelemy returns to defending against Relikh’s punches. Barthelemy lands a quick jab, then misses with a couple of hooks. Relikh lands a hard body shot to Barthelemy. Barthelemy misses with a wild left hook, then gets hit with a stiff right jab. Barthelemy lands another low blow with five seconds remaining in the round.

Round 1: Both men start the fight without throwing a punch for the first 30 seconds, trying to find their footing and range. Lipinets lands a quick left jab. Garcia lands a couple of left jabs of his own. Garcia blocks a jab by Lipinets but Lipinets manages to dodge three-punch combination. Lipinets connects with the quick left jab. Garcia lands a strong right hand, followed by three left jabs. Lipinets goes to the body with another jab.

Lipinets connects with a right hook to Garcia’s jaw. Garcia hurts Lipinets with a counter left hook and Garcia keeps Lipinets on his toes with the jab. Lipinets refuses to give up and tries to throw punches as the fight ends.
