Matchroom Boxing: Edwards vs. Moreno Weigh-In Results
A loaded boxing card in London on March 23 will feature four title fights and all fighters were able to successfully make weight.
Matchroom Boxing’s next card, taking place at the Copper Box Arena, will feature a WBC flyweight world title fight between Charlie Edwards taking on Angel Moreno. Both men managed to come in under the 112-pound championship limit with Edwards coming in at 111.4 pounds and Moreno weighing in at 111.25 pounds.
Also on the card is Joshua Buatsi taking on Liam Conroy for the BBBofC British light heavyweight title. Buatsi, one of the fastest-rising light heavyweights in the United Kingdom, weighed in at 173.5 pounds while Conroy, a former BBBofC English champion, came in at 173.6 pounds.
Undefeated prospect Lawrence Okolie will defend his BBBofC British cruiserweight title against 28-fight veteran Wadi Camacho on the undercard. Both men weighed in less than a pound under the 200-pound limit. Okolie weighed in at 199.2 pounds and Camacho weighed in at 199.1 pounds.
Lastly, Lewis Ritson will make a jump up to junior welterweight after losing his EBU European lightweight title to Francisco Patera in his last fight. Ritson will take on German Argentino Benitez for the vacant WBA Intercontinental title and both men also made weight. Ritson came in at 139.4 pounds while Benitez weighed in at 139.3 pounds.
