Mark DeLuca, Gary O’Sullivan, Charles Foster To Fight On March 16 Card In Boston

New York won’t be the only city having a big boxing show on St. Patrick’s Day weekend as Boston is set to have one of its own.

Murphy’s Boxing announced its fourth annual boxing show, set to take place at the House of Blues on March 16 and will feature a number of title contenders including Mark DeLuca, Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan and Charles Foster all competing in separate bouts.

DeLuca, ranked No. 10 by the WBA at junior middleweight, will defend his NABA title against once-beaten Jimmy Williams in a 10-round bout. DeLuca, also the IBA champion, sports a 22-1 record and last fought on the Matchroom Boxing USA card in Boston this past October when he defeated Walter Wright in a rematch of their first fight back in June that saw Wright win with a controversial split decision.

O’Sullivan will look to continue to march down towards a title opportunity, but will now do so as a junior middleweight, going up against Khiary Gray. O’Sullivan last fought in December, getting a points win over Gabor Gorbics on a boxing card in Ireland. Prior to that win, O’Sullivan fought on the pay-per-view card for Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin 2 last September. O’Sullivan was knocked out by David Lemieux in the first round in a title eliminator for the WBA championship currently being held by Alvarez.

Foster, the current NABA light heavyweight champion, is currently ranked No. 10 by the WBA and will defend his title against Mike Jimenez. The undefeated Foster fought on a ShoBox: The New Generation card in Philadelphia last year, defeating Alvin Varmall Jr.
