Manuel Charr Claims He’s Negotiating A Fight With Anthony Joshua
After it was revealed that Jarrell Miller failed a drug test in March, fighters are now starting to line up to face Anthony Joshua on June 1, including Manuel Charr.
According to a report from Dan Rafael, Miller tested positive for the banned substance GW1516 during a random urine test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). The report also stated that Miller submitted the urine sample on March 20, but there is no word on what the status of his fight against Joshua is going to be. GW1516 is one of several metabolic modulators on the prohibited list on VADA’s official website.
In comes Charr, the current WBA “Regular” heavyweight champion, and he made an Instagram post claiming that there are internal negotiations going on between his camp and Joshua’s camp.
Charr has also faced his drug issues as he also tested failed a drug test before a fight last year and was suspended by the WBA. Charr got to keep his title, but so far, does not have a fight lined up for him before the news of Miller’s positive test.
