Live Gate And Attendance For Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Announced
Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather was a rousing success, even if it didn’t sell out.
The T-Mobile arena was far from capacity on Saturday night for the clash between boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. (50-0), and UFC Champion Conor McGregor (0-1), but that didn’t prevent the spectacle from breaking the live gate record. In all, the Mayweather vs. McGregor card raked in $80 million at the gate even with sections of empty seats existing.
Many questioned the pricing model — valuing insane prices over quantity of tickets sold. It seems to have worked, passing the previous $72 million record that was set by Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather in 2015.
14,632 attended the event. It was a traditional fashionably late crowd in Las Vegas, as many didn’t pour in until the co-main event that featured Gervonta Davis. LeBron James, Bruce Willis, Nate Diaz, Enzo Amore, Jamie Foxx, Puff Daddy and several other luminaries showed up tot the event.
Eventually Floyd Mayweather finished off his UFC foe in Conor McGregor in the tenth round on his way to a 50th career boxing victory. You can see our full, Fightful.com live coverage at this link, and our post-show podcast at this link.
