Jermall Charlo vs. Brandon Adams Weigh-in Results
With recent events adding massive stakes to the main event of the Showtime Championship Boxing card from Houston, making weight was more important than ever before for Jermall Charlo and Brandon Adams.
The recent ascension of Canelo Alvarez from WBC middleweight champion to Franchise champion meant that Charlo would be upgraded from interim titleholder to full champion. That meant the fight between Charlo and Adams will be for a world title in what is Charlo’s homecoming bout.
Both men successfully made weight for their world title bout as well as the rest of the main card, though not without some drama. Both Erickson Lubin and Zakaria Attou were initially overweight for their WBC junior middleweight title eliminator but finally made weight. The winner of the fight will be in line to fight for the WBC title down the road. Also on the card is a WBA Gold featherweight title bout between Eduardo Ramirez and Claudio Marrero.
