Golden Boy Promotions Announces Facebook Watch Card In New Jersey On June 20

Golden Boy Promotions is heading to New Jersey in June for a boxing card that will be streamed on Facebook Watch.

The company announced that it will have a card on June 20 from the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. The main event will be a 10-round matchup between unbeaten prospect D’Mitrius Ballard and Elias Espadas.

Ballard has won all 20 of his fights with one no contest and is fighting for the second time this year. Ballard, a former WBC USNBC super middleweight titleholder, is coming off a fifth-round stoppage win over Victor Fonseca back on March 15.

Espadas sports an 18-4 pro record and has won a number of regional titles throughout his career. The 28-year-old has previously held the WBC FECARBOX, WBO Latino and WBC Latino middleweight titles and emerged victorious in nine of his last 10 fights.

Also announced for the card is a fight between Eddie Gomez and Saul Corral. Gomez is currently on a two-fight win streak since losing a split decision to Alejandro Barrera back in 2017 while Corral has also won his last two fights since losing three straight fights in 2018.

The fight card is now the third Golden Boy Promotions show in the span of eight days in June. The promotional company will have a “Thursday Fight Nights” card on June 13 headlined by undefeated light flyweight contender Seniesa Estrada, followed by the June 20 show. Lastly, the June 21 card in Indio, California will be a DAZN card that will be headlined by the WBA “Regular” super featherweight title rematch between Andrew Cancio and Alberto Machado.
