– The WBC was supposed to have a purse bid for the heavyweight title bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury has been pushed back to allow them more time to reach an agreement on a deal.
– The WBA has also delayed three purse bids and now are set to take place on February 13. Below are the fights whose purse bids were delayed:
- Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Anthony Crolla: WBA Lightweight title
- Daniel Roman vs. Murodjon Akhmadaliev: WBA Super Bantamweight title
- Beibut Shumenov vs. Arsen Goulamirian: WBA “Regular” Cruiserweight title
– Promoter Frank Warren won a purse bid for the IBF featherweight title bout between champion Josh Warrington and mandatory challenger Kid Galahad. An announcement on the fight’s date and venue is expected to be made soon.
– PBC announced a couple of fights set to be a part of the untelevised portion of the February 9 card in Carson, California. Unbeaten super featherweight Xavier Martinez will fight Delvi Bassa while Ladarius Miller will fight Daulius Prescott on the card headlined by Gervonta Davis vs. Hugo Ruiz for the WBA “Super” super featherweight title.
– Top Rank Boxing posted highlights, which can be seen in the video below, of Teofimo Lopez’s knockout win over Diego Magdaleno on February 2. The fight was a part of the ESPN+ boxing card that was headlined by Eleider Alvarez vs. Sergey Kovalev for the WBO light heavyweight title.
– Jordan Gill will face Emmanuel Dominguez in a featherweight bout on a Matchroom Boxing NXTGEN card at the East of England Arena in Peterborough, England.
