– In the video at the top of the page, newly-minted unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. called out Manny Pacquiao to a fight.

– In a repeat of his upset win back in March, David Avanesyan scored a first-round TKO win over Kerman Lejarraga to retain the EBU European welterweight title on September 28 in Bilbao, Spain.

– Floyd Mayweather was in attendance for Spence’s split decision win over Shawn Porter in Los Angeles.

– Unbeaten rising middleweight contender Carlos Monroe scored a split decision win against former world title challenger Javier Francisco Maciel on September 28 in Atlanta.

– Former WBC flyweight champion Daigo Higa has been trying to get the Japanese Boxing Commission to lift his suspension for failing to make weight for a title defense earlier this year, according to Asian Boxing. Higa hopes to return to the ring before the end of 2019.
