Jose Uzcategui: “I’m 100 percent focused on Caleb Plant, but my New Year’s resolution is to unify the 168-pound division. When I’m not working on that goal, I just want to spend as much time with my family as possible.”
Caleb Plant: “My New Year’s resolution in 2019 in the ring is to definitely win the world title. First things first, I have to get that strap and then we’ll move on to bigger and better things. Outside of the ring it would be to get a house, then just go from there.”
Brandon Figueroa: “I’m looking to make 2019 the year I become a world champion. This is going to be a tough fight, but I think I’m going to be the stronger man in the ring that night. I also want to use this talent I’ve been given to help people in need. My resolution is to be a good role model for kids and contribute as much as I can to my community.”
Moises Flores: “Last year had a lot of ups and downs, but I’m looking forward to becoming a world champion and making a title defense in 2019. I’m very thankful for everything I have. Outside of the ring my resolution is to open a seafood restaurant and buy a house for my family this year.”
Joey Spencer: “I’m planning on fighting five times this year so my resolution is to go 5-0, with five knockouts. I just want to keep getting better all-around as a fighter this year and I know that people will see my progression. I usually don’t make resolutions, but when I do have a little time away from the gym, one good vacation with the family would be great.”
– Hanna Gabriels will defend her unified WBA and WBO junior middleweight titles against Sarah Dwyer on January 26 in Nicaragua.
