ESPN+ Undercard For May 11 Top Rank Card Revealed

Less than two weeks before Miguel Berchelt and Emanuel Navarrete defend their respective world titles, a number of notable contenders and prospects will compete on the undercard.

Top Rank Boxing unveiled the undercard for the May 11 show taking place in Tucson, Arizona and being streamed on ESPN+. In the main event of the prelim card, Fazliddin Gaibnazarov will face Mykal Fox in a 140-pound matchup scheduled for 10 rounds.

Gaibnazarov, who won a gold medal in the 2016 Olympics, is already on his way to becoming a potential contender. Gaibnazarov has won all seven of his pro bouts with four of those wins coming by knockout. Gaibnazarov last fought in January when he stopped Ricardo Garcia after four rounds.

Fox, a perennial prospect who has competed at both junior welterweight and welterweight, has a 19-1 record, having once held the UBF All-America welterweight title. Fox’s 19-fight win streak came to an end this past February when he lost a 10-round decision to unbeaten Uzbekistan fighter Shohjahon Ergashev on a Showtime-televised card.

But that’s not the only notable fight taking place on the ESPN+ undercard. Also announced for the card is an eight-round fight between unbeaten featherweight prospect Jason Sanchez taking on former title challenger Adeilson Dos Santos. Former world title challenger Miguel Marriaga will look to continue his current quest for another title opportunity when he takes on 36-fight veteran Naciff Martinez. There is one title fight taking place on the ESPN+ portion of the card, which is Carlos Castro vs. Mario Alberto Diaz for the WBC Continental Americas super bantamweight title.

The main card, which will be televised on ESPN, will see Navarrete defend his WBO super bantamweight title against Isaac Dogboe. The main event of the show is a rematch between Berchelt and Francisco Vargas for the WBC super featherweight title.
